Atlantis Community Foundation Properties

Atlantis Apartments I

Located in Denver’s historic Baker Neighborhood, The Atlantis Apartments will be an innovative, mixed-use facility with first-floor office space and three floors of residential space.

Given the importance of ease of transportation for people with disabilities, The Apartments are centrally located, with bus access at the site, nearby Light Rail service and extensive retail, a grocer, restaurants and neighborhood-based shops nearby.

For all office and residential spaces, The Apartments will incorporate Universal Design principles, which go beyond ADA and other accessibility requirements to ensure the built environment supports users with a wide array of abilities. This project will also incorporate technology, sensory elements and way-finding cues to address multiple disabilities, private and common meeting spaces, and a new independent living-skill teaching area to further enhance ACI’s effectiveness and impact on the community.

The Atlantis Apartments – Target Audience

At The Apartments, 75% of the units will target individuals and small families with incomes between 30-60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) – approximately $16,800-$33,600 for a single-person household and up to $43,260 for a family of 3. The remaining 25% of units will be set aside for extremely low-income (less than 30% of AMI) persons with disabilities.

Atlantis Apartments II

Phase 2 of The Apartments will feature an additional 60 units of affordable, accessible housing. Additional phases for expanding the project in other locations are in the works for a later date.
